About the event
This workshop takes place over 3 Saturdays from 10am - 2pm:
- September 21Â
- September 28
- October 5
This fall, SSIPS is offering a 3-part introductory course for members who are new to printmaking and/or are looking to gain confidence using the studio on their
own. Over 3 Saturday mornings, students will learn about the rich printmaking traditions that inform our work today, make gel plate prints as an introduction to general printmaking principles, make a simple lino cut print (relief printing), and create a tetrapak print using the presses (drypoint/intaglio printing). Trish Myers and SSIPS members will lead the sessions and introduce students to using the studio and the wide variety of equipment used for printmaking.
In the new year, 2025, a new course will feature wood cut relief prints, dry point prints and monotypes. Stand by for more information in late 2024.
All materials will be supplied.
This course is for members only. Memberships can be purchased online for an annual fee of $30. Members must be over the age of 18.
