Katie took her first etching class at the Edinburgh Printmakers workshop at age 15, and was hooked. She completed a BFA in Fine Art Printmaking from DJCA in Scotland before moving to Canada. She apprenticed at New Leaf Editions in Vancouver to become a Master Printer, and has printed for many renowned Canadian artists. Katie has also worked as a Printmaking technician and has taught various print classes in Vancouver and Victoria. Her favourite thing about printmaking is the journey from an idea to the finished print and the surprises along the way.
