Send garbage to the dump or make art?  The show featured art made from waste  by artists on Salt Spring Island. Their works are in any media, with their primary material sources being those diverted from the waste stream.

Printmakers often say that, like a hammer that sees everything as a nail, they look at all found objects as potential printing materials.  When the opportunity came up to receive support from the CRD for an exhibit it looked like a perfect intersection of interests.  The CRD wants to reduce garbage going to its Hartland landfill, and artists can seek inspiration to create new, unusual and exciting works.
