The appeal of printmaking, for me, is the uncertainty of the outcome of each step in making prints. That uncertainty allows me to enjoy the process - its spontaneity and the frequent changing of my planned direction, trusting that the outcome will eventually materialize. The end result is often a surprise. My evolution to pursuing creative endeavours surfaced after retirement from a working life using predominantly my right brain in the science-based pursuits of Genetics and Medicine, to my present life with an awakened left brain.
